If you want to get strong and healthy, you need to be active. Its a great idea for everyone to get fit, and not just if you have a weight problem.

Staying active is easy, you can take a walk or jog in the morning, get involved in some local sports or just play a pick up game of basketball with your friends. However, if you want to get lean and have muscles, then sign up at a health club and start working out!

There are 3 reasons people work out;

People workout because they are overweight. The only way for them to drop those pounds is to reduce their calories consumed in a day and start a workout routine.

The second is if a person is underweight, then they need to bulk up. So they add more calories to their diet and continue their workout routine.

The third reason is just for the fun and health benefits.

A well balanced workout routine should include cardiovascular and weight training. This will allow you to both burn calories and increase muscle so you will be able to burn fat faster and lose weight.

Before starting a new diet or exercise routine, you should consult with your doctor.

The benefits of exercising are:

1. It is an easy way to improve your health, fend off disease and increase your life span.

2. Exercise helps release endorphins that make you feel happy. It also helps to build self esteem and helps prevent depression.

3. Regular exercise will help you live longer than someone who doesnt.

When starting out, ease in slowly and take it slowly. Make sure you stick with it, although results will not be immediate, with repetition you will see results.

Make sure that when you exercise, you dont neglect your diet.

A dietitian or doctor can help you plan a good diet program. You need to give your lifestyle a check, as well as your general health before a good program can be made.

Later on, there will be many discussions and recommendations. They will usually recommend an diet plan and exercise program that doesnt need supplements, or require expensive fitness equipment.

Your diet should include all four food groups.

You will need to focus on two things: carbohydrates and fats You are going to need minerals, vitamins and lots of fiber. You will get a lot of this from your grains and oats. Of course, the best is going to come from your fruits and vegetables, which you need for a healthy diet.
